Scott Adkins & John Wick 4 Co-star Marko Zaror Reunite for New Action Outing

John Wick: Chapter 4 stars and fellow martial artists Scott Adkins and Marko Zaror are all set to reunite for the upcoming action flick, Diablo. As per a report by Deadline, while the actors will join forces for the movie, their characters will be on opposite sides as the pair go head-to-head, toe-to-toe, and no doubt fist-to-fist in what’s sure to be an explosion of sublime action cinema.

Diablo finds Scott Adkins starring as a man named Kris Chaney who, after being released from prison, “embarks on a perilous mission to fulfill an old promise but finds himself in danger when he kidnaps Elisa, the daughter of a powerful gangster.” Of course, this leads to her father, Vincent, putting out “a call to the entire criminal underworld to bring her back alive,” which brings Marko Zaror into the fray as El Corvo, a psychopathic killer, who “joins the hunt not for the money but for his own vendetta against Vincent’s family.”

“Kris must evade both Elisa’s powerful father and a ruthless killer bent on revenge to live long enough to tell Elisa the full story that has been hidden from her,” the rest of the description for Diablo reads.

Directed by Ernesto Díaz Espinoza, who has worked with Marko Zaror before on both Redeemer and The Fist of the Condor, Diablo has been written by Mat Sansom and is due to shoot later this year in Chile and will be presented to potential buyers at the upcoming Cannes market.

John Wick: Chapter 4 Sees Scott Adkins & Marko Zaror Do Battle With Keanu Reeves

While Scott Adkins is now a well-known commodity in the action movie world, John Wick: Chapter 4 will have been the first time that wider audiences will have seen Marko Zaror display his particular set of skills. Certainly, the idea of them both sharing the screen (and exchanging all manner of punches and kicks) should have action fans salivating, with Diablo sounding the perfect set-up to throw them at each other with gloriously violent intent.

“I’m very excited to be reunited with Marko Zaror and to be working with director Ernesto Espinoza for the first time on a wonderful script by Mat Sansom,” Adkins said of the project.

“We are honored that Craig, Scott, and Marco have put their trust in us to help achieve their vision for this truly remarkable project,” adds producer Clay Epstein. “Audiences are going to be blown away by some of the most unbelievable action sequences they will have ever seen. The realistic way Ernesto shoots stunts mixed with Scott and Marco’s insane talent is going to thrill the fans beyond their wildest dreams.”

The recent John Wick finale, John Wick: Chapter 4, introduces both Scott Adkins and Marko Zaror to the hit action franchise. Both actors are given moments to shine within the action epic, with Zaror starring as a powerful enforcer for the High Table while Adkins appears unrecognizable as Killa Harkan, the head of the German Table.

John Wick: Chapter 4 is set to be released on digital on May 23, 2023, and on Blu-Ray, 4K UHD, and DVD on June 13, 2023.
