MANILA, Philippines—Scottie Thompson and his wife Jinky welcomed their first child on Friday.
Thompson, the reigning PBA MVP, shared a photo of Scot Alystair Thompson on his Instagram.
“My two warriors! Thank you, Lord, for giving my wife enough strength to deliver this 8lbs. little angel,” Thompson wrote.
Last January, Thompson announced he and Jinky are expecting their first child.
The blessings continue to pour in for the Barangay Ginebra star, who is also one of the favorites in the MVP race in the recently-concluded season.
The 29-year-old Thompson helped Ginebra reach the Governors’ Cup Finals won by the TNT Tropang Giga in six games last month.
Thompson was supposed to represent the Philippines in the Cambodia SEA Games but had to beg off due to the birth of his child.
