Though the Creep I.E. Con isn’t scheduled to take place until Feb. 4-5, 2023 at the Ontario Convention Center, event producers revealed the first batch film and television stars that are scheduled to appear at the annual horror convention on its social media pages.
Actors Skeet Ulrich and Jamie Kennedy, who starred together in Wes Craven’s 1996 slasher, “Scream,” will reunite during the event. They’ll be joined by actor Ryan Hurst, who portrays the villainous Beta in “The Walking Dead,” as well as Tom Payne, who appeared as the martial arts expect and fan-favorite, Jesus, in the hit AMC zombie series. Alex Winter, who starred in both “The Lost Boys” and opposite Keanu Reeves in “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure,” will also meet and greet with fans at Creep I.E. Con.
Other celebrities set to appear include Quinn Lord who played “Sam” in the cult classic horror film “Trick ‘r Treat”; Devon Sawa, whose credits include appearances in movies like “Final Destination” and “Idle Hands”; Mark Burnham, who portrayed Leatherface in the new “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” Netflix film; Dick Wieand, who played Jason in “Friday the 13th: A New Beginning”; and Jake McKinnon from Rob Zombie’s “House of 1000 Corpses.”
The convention will feature hundreds of vendors selling all sorts of macabre and spooky wares. There will also be a walk-thru haunt produced by Fear Farm, a horror prop museum, arcade games, tattoo artists designing horror-themed body art and just in time for Valentine’s Day, there’s a Horror Speed Dating session planned for the weekend.
Tickets are $25-$30 for single-day general admission passes; $50 for general admission weekend passes; $110 for VIP weekend passes, which include one hour early entry to the vendor hall and VIP lounge, as well as front-of-line access to autograph sessions. All passes are currently on sale at creepiecon.com.
