During today’s Gotham Publishing Panel at SDCC, DC Comics announced a number of new ongoing series and miniseries set in the world of the Dark Knight. Included among the announcements are a pair of series picking up where The Joker ongoing series left off, the return of a fan-favorite group of international Batmen, and a new series from superstar writer/filmmaker John Ridley.

The first announcement, Punchline: The Gotham Game, is a new six-issue series from writers Tini Howard and Blake Howard and artist Gleb Melnikov. Punchline previously starred in a backup series in the ongoing The Joker series. Tini Howard is the current writer on Catwoman, while Melnikov previously drew the Robin ongoing series.

The first issue of Punchline: The Gotham Game will feature covers by Melnikov, Guillem MarchRafael Albuquerque, and more. Check out some interiors from Melnikov below.

Later in the panel, group editor Ben Abernathy announced another series picking up where The Joker series left off.

The Joker: The Man Who Stopped Laughing is a new ongoing series written by Matthew Rosenberg and illustrated by Carmine di Giandomenico. The series is billed as a follow-up to the Joker ongoing series, which Rosenberg co-wrote later in its run. The first issue of the series features covers by David NakayamaLee Bermejo, and more.

Another announcement was previously teased during the “Shadow War” event storyline. Batman, Incorporated is written by Ed Brisson and illustrated by John Timms, and picks up with Ghostmaker having taken the helm of a new iteration of the international team of Batmen. Brisson wrote the recent Batman annual, which felt more or less like a backdoor pilot for this series.

And the final announcement of the panel was for a new series from I Am Batman writer John Ridley. Written by Ridley and illustrated by Stefano Raffaele and Brad AndersonG.C.P.D.: The Blue Wall is a new miniseries set in present-day Gotham, and following Renee Montoya as she adapts to her current role as commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department. Knowing Ridley, the series will likely involve a look at what it means to be a police officer in today’s world, and the role that police play in society.

The quartet of new announcements came after DC’s reveal of Batman: Gotham Knights – Gilded City, a new prequel miniseries for the upcoming video game. Joker: The Man Who Stopped Laughing #1 is set to debut on Tuesday, October 4th; Batman, Incorporated #1 arrives the following Tuesday, October 11th; G.C.P.D.: The Blue Wall launches the next week on Tuesday, October 18th; and Punchline: The Gotham Game lands in stores on Tuesday, October 25th.
