I guess it was inevitable that And Just Like That… would attempt to pull off a quirky COVID episode, but it’s…not for me, to say the least. That said, the second season’s third episode still had some clutch moments (no pun intended, as Seema’s stolen Birkin is not one of them. Get this woman more exciting plotlines!). Without further ado, here’s everything I thought about Episode 3:
- Hey, it’s Carrie’s cute jewelry-designer neighbor!
- “You’re Carrie Bradshaw, nothing embarrassing about that.” I beg to differ.
- Seema’s Birkin gets snatched on the street, and if this becomes a copaganda plotline about crime in New York I will scream.
- There’s a “MILF list” circulating at Charlotte and Lisa’s kids’ school, and they’re determined to be on it, because of course that’s their reaction.
- It’s interesting that there is one masked person in this scene. I want to know their story!
- Carrie’s doing an audio read of her memoir, which she’s being very weird about. It’s 2023, baby! Audio rights are half the ballgame!
- Not to be a monster, but Carrie’s book about Big’s death sounds…boring.
- Che and Miranda are running lines in L.A., and also? Fighting! Break up, girlies and theys!
- Is this anti-Android propaganda?
- Wow, I straight-up forgot Miranda had a son.
- BITSY VON MUFFLING!
- Wait, am I to understand from context that Bitsy’s husband, a.k.a. Nathan Lane, died?
- God, I really needed to see Carrie stumbling through her doorway with shopping bags full of Manolos again.
- At least she’s rich now and can afford it?
- Carrie lies about having COVID to get out of recording her audiobook, which…respect.
- Not Miranda getting an impulse tattoo!
- Miranda telling Carrie that L.A. is “like pretend life” is, unfortunately, something I’ve said before verbatim.
- Oh, so Carrie’s lying to everyone about having COVID, huh?
- When did Seema and Anthony become lunch besties?
- So the kid who made the MILF list is…..hot? And we’re encouraged to think that? Okay!
- Oh no, Miranda’s on a studio tour. It really is time for her to leave L.A.
- Oh, JK, it’s the taping of Che’s show.
- Aw, Brady got dumped in Europe!
- Oh no, Che’s making a multicam sitcom? I don’t think I realized that prior to this moment.
- Miranda’s hidden phone goes off during the taping. Ruh-roh.
- God, I love the way Tony Danza says “nonbinary.”
- Charlotte’s dog in a raincoat is everything I never knew I needed.
- I actually kind of like Carrie and Seema’s friendship, even though I still think Seema deserves better storylines.
- Damn, Che is really not being cool about Miranda trying to be a good mom, huh?
- Carrie’s neighbor’s jewelry gets robbed at Bryant Park, and Seema pulling out a gun-shaped lighter saves Carrie from parting with her beloved necklace? Weird storyline, yet again.
- Carrie gets over her fake COVID and she and Seema go out to meet guys. Cute! Boring episode, though.
