Did a security guard at an Argentina hospital have a close encounter with a ghost?

A video seemed to indicate as much, before it was disclosed to possibly be a prank and the result of a malfunctioning door, according to the Daily Mail.

The sliding doors at Finochettio Sanatorium opened early on Nov. 11, and the guard got up from his desk and walked toward the doors. He seemingly checked the unseen patient in with a clipboard. The guard then motions with his right hand showing where to go.

A second surveillance camera then shows the security guard grabbing a wheelchair and gesturing again.

Later the guard pushed the wheelchair against the wall and returned to his seat.

While local Argentina news outlets reported that the guard had registered the name of a woman who had died at the hospital the previous day,  however, the hospital media relations director Guillermo Capuya said the entrance door had a problem, which had caused it to open 28 times during a period of 10 hours.

He said that the security guard’s odd behaviour might have been a prank.

“I don’t know if to make a joke or what, but it went viral. What I don’t believe in is ghosts,” Capuya said.
