SEE THE LIST: Perth’s fastest growing suburbs revealed

As Australia gains an additional 1 million people to its population since 2019, one West Australian area made the top 10 list as a fastest growing region nationally.

Growing by 46,000 people on average per year, WA continued to show an increase in population between 2019 and 2022.

In the three-year data analysis by KPMG, WA region, Swan, saw the ninth biggest change in population nationally, with a 15,600 increase since 2019.

In Perth’s eastern metropolitan region, the area saw an increase of 3.4 per cent annually between 2019 to 2022, with a total of 161,000 residents calling it home by December.

Wanneroo and Armadale both followed Swan as some of WA’s fastest-growing regions, marking an 11,700 and 9,900 increase respectively.
