As Vogue editors, we often wax poetic on the latest runway must-haves, but not every item we gush about on this website ultimately ends up in our closets and homes. Our discoveries are nice to behold—they’re lovely to look at and inspire fun conversation—however, of all the tempting things to buy, what did we actually end up purchasing? Each month we’ll highlight those special finds our editors welcomed into their lives—all the things that made us buyers rejoice.

I wore this Anemos white linen dress on repeat this Memorial Day weekend for everything, from my morning coffee run to an outdoor BBQ at a friend’s house. I have a feeling I’ll be wearing it once a week this summer.

I’ve always been a fan of a cool, grown-up take on tie-dye, but I’m currently obsessing over modest dip-dyed and ombré midi-skirts from an assortment of brands this summer. I love the warm, neutral tones and casual wrap style of this Massimo Dutti piece. When I’m not throwing it on with a simple white tank, you can find me sporting it as a swimsuit cover-up on the beach!

I love the idea of a white bag as part of an all-white summer wardrobe but I’ve never been brave enough to take the plunge—sadly, I’m just too messy at the dinner table for all that! This summer, though, I’ve decided to tip-toe my way into the idea. This Reformation bag isn’t exactly optic white—it’s cream—and that’s a good enough compromise for me. I’m also experimenting with the idea of shorts again (Martin Rose’s are cozy, so good for this transitional weather). ’Tis the season. And since the weather’s nice, I’ll be out walking as much as possible this month in Anderson Bell’s collaboration with Asics.

Kia Goosby, Vanity Fair’s fashion editor, is the one who got me to buy my first Dôen piece during their Mother’s Day sale, and I can easily say that this is the brand I’ll be wearing all summer long. My favorite piece that I bought is the lace Regina top. I can’t wait to wear it this summer!

I’ve had the Bottega Veneta kitten heel mule sandals on my wishlist for a while now, and when I saw them on TheRealReal in my size I decided it was time to get them. The soft leather and barely there heel give the polished but carefree look I want for the season, while the subdued buttery color will pair well with everything else in my summer wardrobe.

After searching for a fitted black slip to wear under a sheer dress for a recent wedding, I finally caved and bought this Skims one. It is really perfect, with just enough firmness to provide some support while still being comfortable enough to sleep in, which I almost did.

I’ve been leaning into colorful, basic jewelry recently, and these earrings, along with a ring to match, have been staples in my rotation of accessories. And I can’t deny that I’m always on the lookout for hints of green to spruce up my everyday look.

I recently purchased these Larroude heels for a wedding and ended up wearing them to all the weekend’s activities! They are as comfortable as a pair of flat sandals and go with just about any summer dress.

The heat wave that came through New York in May got me very excited for summer. Because of this, the first thing I picked up was a new bikini from J.Crew (which I now need in every color). I’ve also hopped on the anklet train and I find myself putting this anklet on almost any time my ankles are visible. It’s the perfect finishing touch to a spring or summer outfit.

Who can resist the retro appeal of a high-waist bikini? With an invitation to a wedding in the Turks and Caicos on the horizon, I had to up my beach game fast. The fun colors and vintage styling of this two-piece by Phuket-based designer Angelys Balek were a perfect choice. And when paired with an iconic Pucci psychedelic swirl sarong, all I’ll need to add are oversized sunnies and sunscreen!

The British weather may have finally turned, but my well-stocked jeans drawer remains in constant use. For spring/summer 2023, I have been hunting for the perfect patchwork pair to add to my oeuvre. Earlier in the month, I finally found them at a sample sale. Coming courtesy of Japanese fashion designer, Junya Watanabe, the jeans are the perfect straight-leg, mid-rise fit, and feature elaborate decorative lace panels. The ultimate statement-making style to add interest to basic white T-shirts and tank tops this summer. You can shop a similar style below.

If you can’t tell by my May purchase, I’m excited for the months ahead. To commemorate the start of summer, I purchased a hat from my all-time favorite hatmaker, Nick Fouquet. I love that this particular style teeters on the edge of horse girl and Hamptons (since I am an Alabamian living in New York). If you’re in the market, I recommend checking him out. But fair warning, it’s hard to narrow it down to one.

I’ve always been a fan of unconventional pearls but learned I’ve been especially into them—blame it on the upcoming Karl Lagerfeld exhibition at the Met. Mudd Pearl is a new jewelry label I recently discovered that specializes in just that. Their chokers are super fun but I was particularly taken by the earrings from their latest collection. They look good dressed up or with a simple pair of jeans like these I scooped from Saks Potts. The heft and utility cut of them is just right.

Realizing there’s a deficit of wear-everywhere tops in my closet, I decided to stock up on versatile staples that can be dressed up or pared-back. I’ll wear the black Alix bodysuit with my denim maxi skirts and tailored trousers. Then I’ll pair the Eterne tank with jeans and shorts this summer.

Peak wedding season is fast approaching, which means that it’s the perfect time to invest in some key party pieces. For a 4-day destination wedding in Ibiza, I couldn’t help but splurge on a fun pair of Loewe sunnies. I also love these brown Bottega Veneta wedges for ceremonies set in a garden or between the vines.

Dresses, dresses, dresses! When I saw British Vogue’s Joy Montgomery style this classic shirtdress from the recent JW Anderson x Uniqlo collaboration, I knew I had to have it. It’s a timeless, functional piece fit for warmer days ahead. ’Tis the season to start shopping for wedding guest dresses as well—I have one to attend in the late spring, so I grabbed Norma Kamali’s signature Diana dress in a pretty pale shade of purple that I can’t wait to debut.

My April purchase was the totally groundbreaking concept of a bikini in anticipation of summer, and the reviews are in from the group chat: “cute,” “classic,” “Pamela Anderson.” What more could a gal want?

I’ve been a long-time fan of The Garment ever since Laird Borrelli-Persson, our senior archive editor, started reviewing them during Copenhagen Fashion Week, This polo top has the perfect collar and I love the mismatched button detailing, and I will definitely be investing in more pieces from The Garment going forward.

While I can’t help but to invest in another dress or cute top for the spring, I’ve turned my attention to some essential activewear this season. On a recent shopping outing with some friends, we all decided to get matching sets in fun, bold colors that are perfect for spring and summer. This tank and pair of shorts totally stuck out to me—and I’ve been leaning toward wearing more green ever since I dyed my hair red. I know I’ll get some great use out of this set in the next few months on my (accidental) 6-mile walks along the West Side Highway.

I bought my second pair of these magical pants, which are a not-quite-jeans, not-quite-trousers hybrid. They are super comfortable, work with flats and boots equally well, and have a nonchalant vibe that is still office appropriate. I bought a gray pair a few months back and decided to purchase a white pair now that spring is upon us. I should also add that as someone just under 5’3”, they didn’t need to be hemmed, which is a big win.
I also bought a couple of these J. Crew tanks that marry the perfect amount of stretch and thickness with a really flattering cut.

I’m obsessed with this shirt from Rika Studios. It’s the perfect boxy men’s shape. And there’s no need to worry about it losing its silhouette, thanks to the crispy coated cotton that is substantial enough to hold the volume.

Like most native New Yorkers, I walk everywhere, which was the perfect excuse to pick up Attire’s fabulous trench to ward off April showers. With its oversized styling and exaggerated buttons, it’s a far cry from your mother’s old trench coat. And with spring in the air, I also couldn’t resist a pair of Miu Miu’s slingback penny loafers in bubblegum pink. The color matches the cherry blossoms in Central Park and the kitten heel is so comfortable, I can walk to work in them.

It was love at first sight when I first laid eyes on this delightful J.Crew striped cardigan on fashion publicist Meaghan Cohen at a recent breakfast together. I knew I immediately had to have it and bought it later that day. I love its classic gold button details and it’s an easy wardrobe piece to feel “dressed up” with little to no effort. It’s simple to style too, I suggest pairing it with black trousers and chunky gold jewelry. Don’t wait, run and add this to your closet and wait for the compliments to pour in.

Nothing screams I’m ready for spring! like a cheerful, head-to-toe floral-printed dress. Once I saw this maximalist piece by Rixo, it was a done deal. From sandals to chunky boots to white sneakers, the outfit ideas are endless to wear all season long.

As I recently decided to start my “flats era,” I’ve been on the hunt for a reliable everyday sneaker. Long story short, I finally gave into the hype and purchased the New Balance 550. Safe to say I’m obsessed. I also added a checkered blazer from Mango to my rotation. It seriously goes with everything.

I’ve been looking for polished, understated flats that feel just as alluring as a pair of high heels. So I was super-excited when I discovered this Saint Laurent pair. The square-toe silhouette, high-gloss finish, and metallic horsebits are all undeniably beautiful.

As temperatures start to settle above freezing and the trees begin to blossom, I’m doubling down on my fitness game. I finally invested in a pair of On Running sneakers, and I never want to take them off. Similarly, I’ve become a loyal fan of Beyond Yoga workout sets. So, I picked up the new blush pink colorway, which adds just the right amount of spring to my gym wardrobe.

After the shows in Europe, I always come back home wanting to do-over my closet and inject a little newness in my look. So I’ve been on a bit of a spree this month. I started with a pair of tailored pants because tailoring was all over the runway, so I like to get a head start and The Frankie Shop does it at a price that won’t break the bank. I also love Erin Beatty’s label Rentrayage, particularly her upcycled tees. A simple slip by Silk Laundry was on my list—because layering!—and comfy cool Salomon sneakers.

March, like most other months, was a big trousers month for me. Most recently, I’ve purchased two pairs that I haven’t stopped reaching for. The first is a khaki pair from Madewell that I keep grabbing for as I slowly venture away from my all-black winter wardrobe. I also picked up a pair of vinyl pants from The Frankie Shop. They’re great for the office or a night out and I can definitely see myself getting a few more wears in before the warmer spring weather really kicks in. The best part? Both pairs are tall girl friendly.

We made it– we’re finally turning the corner from winter to spring in New York City, which means it’s time to start wearing mini skirts again. This set from Baum Und Pferdgarten is the perfect transitional outfit, and the color is [chef’s kiss]. I can’t wait to wear this with knee-high boots and then again with some strappy heels once it gets even warmer outside.

My mom had this beautiful Chinese antique shagreen glasses case which I’ve always loved since small. It had the most subtle green celadon color and the smoothest touch. Living across the Atlantic from family, this cuff is somewhat my dupe keepsake far from home.

My new Agolde low-slung baggy jeans are quickly becoming a favorite item in my wardrobe. They are comfortable, effortless, and work with either a flat or a heel—a major score! I also have been loving this slightly sheer wool T-shirt from Cos. It’s a bit more dressed up, and I find this sleeve length to be flattering and versatile.
