This promotional tour for My Mind & Me has been an emotional one. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Gomez revealed that she “likely” will not be able to carry her own children due to the medication she takes to treat her bipolar disorder. The realization caused the 30-year-old to break down in tears after visiting a friend who is trying to get pregnant. “That’s a very big, big, present thing in my life,” Gomez said. “However I’m meant to have [kids], I will.”
Gomez also said she expected to be married by 25 so she threw herself a wedding for her 30th birthday. Famous attendees included Miley Cyrus, Camila Cabello, Billie Eilish, and Olivia Rodrigo. “We had lovely drinks, and it was beautiful, and then my friend Cara [Delevingne] comes in and brings strippers,” Gomez told Rolling Stone. “So I would like to say it was a mixture of sophisticated and hysterical.”

Of course, Selena Gomez also got extremely candid throughout her documentary, which she told Clarkson “wasn’t easy.” Spanning four years—from 2016 through 2020—the doc tackles everything from the Revival Tour cancellation, her kidney transplant, and her struggles with mental health. “I’m at peace. I’m angry. I’m sad. I’m confident. I’m full of doubt. I’m a work in progress. I am enough,” Gomez says to close out the documentary. “I am Selena.”
