As the weather warms up, more Britons are keeping their windows open, especially in their bedrooms. Opening windows during the warmer months is crucial for keeping cool and allowing properties to ventilate.
However, this can often lead to pesky bugs entering homes which can buzz around all night, keeping Britons awake while they’re trying to sleep.
Now, interior experts at Online-Bedrooms.co.uk have shared their tips for keeping insects like moths and flies out of the bedroom.
Nic Shacklock from Online-Bedrooms said there are a number of natural ways to keep bugs like moths and flies out of people’s homes during the summer months.
He said: “It can be really frustrating when bugs like moths and flies enter our home while the window is open and it’s a nightmare trying to get them out.
“The good news is there are a few things you can do to prevent them from entering in the first place. The obvious answer is to insert a mesh window screen.
“If you don’t want the extra headache, simple tricks like keeping the light off and filling the room with natural essential oils are great at deterring insects.
