Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon have released a joint statement in support of the women who have accused Chris Noth of sexual assault.

The trio each took to their personal social media accounts to release a short statement on Monday which read: “We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth.

“We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”

Noth, 67, starred in Sex and the City alongside the actresses and was killed off in the opening episode of the reboot of the show titled And Just Like That.

He has since been accused of sexual assault by three women – claims the actor categorically denies.

The Hollywood Reporter claimed last week two women told them they were assaulted by the star and were reminded of their trauma when the sequel series to Sex and the City was first advertised.

The two women reportedly approached the outlet separately to tell their stories, with one of the women saying Noth attacked her in 2004. The other said her assault happened in 2015.

Since the women bravely spoke out, a third woman has also made claims against the star and said the Law and Order actor forced himself on her in 2010.

Noth said in a statement to THR: “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false.

“These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual.

“It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”

Chris Noth has also been dropped from The Equalizer

The accusations have led to Noth being dropped from his role on The Equalizer, in which he starred as William Bishop alongside Queen Latifah.

Universal Television and CBS released a brief statement confirming their stance. It read: “Chris Noth will no longer film additional episodes of ‘The Equalizer,’ effective immediately.”

Talent agency A3 Artists also dropped the star from its books at the weekend.

The leading agency, which represents a selection of top talent across the pond, said in a statement to Metro.co.uk : “I can confirm that Chris Noth is no longer a client.”
