SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Police are investigating a stabbing incident involving minors on a MUNI bus near the Union Square neighborhood, the San Francisco Police Department Investigations Bureau confirmed to KRON4.
Around 4:41 pm., officers were informed of a stabbing aboard a MUNI bus near Stockton and Sutter streets. At the scene, officers found one minor suffering from a potential stab wound. Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene while officers provided medical aid. The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The preliminary investigation into the incident revealed that a fight had taken place on the bus between several minor boys. Officers on the scene have detained multiple subjects who they believe were involved in the assault.
No arrests have been made at the time. Police are asking those who may have witnessed the crime to stay on the scene and speak with police.
The 8, 15, 30 and 45 buses may experience delays along Stockton and Sutter streets as a result of the police activity in the area, according to the San Francisco Transportation Authority.
