Pamela Chopra, wife of late filmmaker Yash Chopra, passed away on Thursday. The playback singer, screenwriter and producer was 74-years-old. On Sunday, Pamela Chopra’s family organized a prayer meet. On Thursday, Yash Raj Films shared an emotional statement to announce her demise. The statement reads, “With heavy hearts, the Chopra family would like to inform that Pamela Chopra, 74, passed away this morning. Her cremation took place at 11 am today in Mumbai. We are grateful for your prayers and the family would like to request for privacy in this moment of deep sadness and reflection.”

After the news of her passing was shared on Thursday, several celebrities paid a visit to Aditya Chopra’s house. Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor, Anupam Kher-Kirron Kher, Hema Malini, Ajay Devgn-Kajol, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone among others offered their condolences to the Chopra family.
