Shah Rukh Khan says ‘I was low on confidence’ post Zero, reveals planning alternate career option during 4 years | Bollywood Bubble

For the first time post Zero, actor Shah Rukh Khan made a full-fledged media appearance as the makers arranged a press conference for the success of Pathaan. During the event, he went on to reveal that post Zero failure, he was low on confidence and felt very scared sometimes. But he feels overwhelmed to see the response on Pathaan and how people gave life to the movie. Despite the failure, SRK revealed he thought of alternate career options during 4 years of his sabbatical.

Shah Rukh Khan on Zero failure:

While speaking to the media at the event, SRK said, “Thank You for bringing life to the (Hindi film) industry. This experience has yet not sunk for all this. Thanking everyone for the film. Go to people who love you. I have millions who love me. God has always given me a balcony ticket. The film experience is an experience of love. It should not hurt anyone. I was low on confidence. I am very proud to say I get scared sometimes. I lose confidence. But the weaker you are, the stronger you get.”

SRK on taking 4 years break and his alternate plan:

When asked about the lows and highs of his career and his absence from movies for four years, Shah Rukh revealed that he got the time to spend with his kids while revealing that he started cooking as his alternate career plan as he said, “The four years that I had… Covid had good and bad parts. I didn’t work. I was with my children. I saw them grow up. My last film had not worked and people had said my movies now won’t work. So, I thought of an alternate career: Cooking Italian,” adding that the name of the restaurant would be Red Chillies.

Shah Rukh talks about coming back post Zero:

The Raees actor further added, “But it is nice to be back, I’m never in a hurry to wrap the movie because I genuinely want to spread happiness to people, not saying because I’m an actor or we are doing this interview. Whenever I fail, nobody feels bad the way I feel. So, today, I am happy as I did spread happiness, especially to those who mean a lot to me – Siddharth and Aditya Chopra who have given me a chance to do this film.” 

Pathaan also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham and it is doing exceptionally well at the box office.
