In the illustrious filmography that Shah Rukh Khan has, he has worked with a lot of actresses in this journey. However, firsts are always special. And even Shah Rukh Khan agrees with that as he recently indulged in a fun banter with his ‘first heroine’ Renuka Shahane.
Renuka Shahane and Ashutosh Rana go to watch Pathaan
On Sunday, Renuka tweeted a couple of pictures of her with husband Ashutosh Rana as the couple finally went to watch Pathaan. Ashutosh himself stars in the SRK, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer as Colonel Luthra, Pathaan’s superior. Sharing the images, Renuka wrote, “Finally going to watch #Pathaan… Mausam bilkul sahi hai… kursi ki peti baandh li hai… with Col Luthra ji (sic)”.

Soon after, SRK responded to this tweet, reminding Renuka that she was indeed his first heroine. He even inquired if her husband knows this secret of theirs. He wrote, “Col Luthraji ko bataya aapne ki aap meri pehli heroine hain!! Or should we keep it a Top Secret otherwise he may fire me from the agency!!! (sic)”.
Renuka replies in a hilarious way
Keeping in sync with SRK’s sense of humour, even Renuka gave a witty reply. She wrote, “Hahaha unsey koi baat chhupti kahaan hai? Aaphi ne unhe antaryaami kahaa hai… aur chaahey jo ho jaaye, woh aapko fire nahi kar saktey kyunki jo kaam aap kartey hain woah koi aur nahi kar saktaa(sic)”.
Ashutosh joins in the conversation
Not one to stay behind, Ashutosh also joined the banter. He responded hilariously questioning his future in franchise. He wrote a tweet in Hindi that loosely translates to, “With passing time, people get older. The worry is for Luthra ji if he will be there in the next mission or not? Because in the last scene, you got Luthra to say ‘Talwar bhi Pathaan ki aur rules bhi Pathaan ke’.”
With Google translator mixing up ‘age’ and ‘edge’ for him, Ashutosh added another tweet clarifying that he meant to say that with time, people grow in their age, while SRK is growing in his edge.
For the uninitiated, Shah Rukh and Renuka worked in his TV show Circus, making her his first co-star. This banter between these three actors is truly amazing. And with Luthra ji and Pathaan here, the future of the franchise is in safe hands.
