Shamshera, which had Ranbir Kapoor in a classic hero avatar, did not go well with the audience, as evidenced by the box office results. It has now entered the ranks of another major budget disaster this year. One exhibitor recently attempted to decode the causes for the film’s dismal performance, and the results are below.
The film, which was supported by YRF, marked Ranbir’s return to the big screen after a four-year absence. Despite being such a significant release, the picture was poorly promoted and failed to generate much-needed buzz during the pre-release period. As a result, forget about word-of-mouth; the major didn’t even get off to a good start. Shamshera box office day 6 collection numbers are given here.

Reason Behind Shamshera’s Failure
YRF attempted to sell Ranbir Kapoor as a new action-mass figure, but that is not his image. Such a large wager on a historical epic should not have been placed on a hero who had never been tried in that terrain. It would have been preferable if the picture had been a modern action film with a lower budget. There was too much money invested, and the expectations were too great. The opening isn’t horrible, but it appears to be so given the size of the budget at stake and the hoopla around the film.
