Shaq doesn’t have a billion bucks kicking around to buy the NBA’s embattled Phoenix Suns.

But the hoops legend says if his pal, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos wants to kick in, he’s keen to join forces. Shaq initially floated the idea of buying disgraced owner Robert Sarver’s share of the team.

Sarver announced in August he was putting the Suns on the market after he was suspended by the NBA for making racist and misogynistic comments. He also meddled with the team.

“(Sarver is) an interventionist owner with more authority than expertise, a front office marred by instability, an understaffed scouting department, and a dated facility that isolates the decision-makers from the players and coaches,” one source told ESPN.
In September he was fined $10 million and suspended for a year. He then announced the team was for sale.

While Shaq realized his $400 million fortune wasn’t in the same league as Bezos’, maybe they could be partners.

“Nobody on this planet can compete with Big Man JB,” Shaq told TMZ. “Because you know what? I just ordered 50 things off Amazon today. Big Man JB got that money coming in!”
The hoops legend added: “If he wants me on board, I would gladly like to talk to him.”
Shaq added: “But, as far as trying to own a whole team by myself, and go up against — let me tell you something, I’m scared of Big Man JB. Shaq O’Neal is scared of Big Man JB!”
So far though, it isn’t clear how serious Bezos’ interest in the team is or whether he would want to hook up with Shaq. However, there is still time as Sarver is still sorting out how he plans to parcel off the Suns and their WNBA sister team, the Phoenix Mercury.
