Shaquille O’Neal is one of the greatest basketball players of all time. As a four-time NBA champion, 15-time All-Star and three-time Finals MVP, O’Neal was able to accomplish nearly everything a player can in the NBA.
Following his playing career, the Hall of Famer would go on to become a successful analyst, businessman and even a DJ.
O’Neal has lived an extremely full life, but he said that he has some regrets about how some of his previous relationships ended.
“I had two perfect women and I messed it up,” O’Neal said in an appearance on “Mo Talk Radio” with R&B singer Monica.
“My first one was my baby mother, Arnetta, and then I met Shaunie. Shaunie was also a perfect woman, and I messed it up.”
O’Neal says that his relationships with Arnetta Yardbourgh and Shaunie Nelson could have gone differently, and he blames himself for the relationships not working out in the end.
“Yeah, you know, we were young and always just doing dumb stuff. But, the good thing about our relationship is that they forgave me, and we have a good relationship now,” O’Neal said, noting that he’s been able to move past issues that caused those relationships to end.
“Even though I don’t have a relationship with the women that I let get away, I will always PPL: protect, provide, and love, whatever they need they get it from me,” O’Neal said.
