Warriors star Draymond Green was ejected from Monday night’s game against the Kings for stomping on Domantas Sabonis’ chest. This was his response to Sabonis grabbing his ankle.
During TNT’s postgame coverage, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal offered his thoughts on this altercation.
Believe it or not, O’Neal is siding with Green.
“One bad play begets another bad play… I’m not going to sit up here and be a hypocrite,” O’Neal said. “I’d do the same thing, I really would. Don’t be grabbing me because what am I gonna do? If I stay there and just try to run forward, I’ll fall. You got to get him above you. And if you’e above and if you’re in the way, you might get stomped on. Was it a dirty play? Of course it was a dirty play.”

Green explained his side to the story during his postgame presser.
“My leg got grabbed – the second time in two nights – and the referee is just watching. I got to land my foot somewhere, and I’m not the most flexible person, so it’s not stretching that far,” Green told reporters. “I can only step so far with someone pulling my leg away.”
It’ll be fascinating to see how the league handles this incident. Green could potentially be disciplined for his actions.
