Sharon Stone pays tribute to brother Patrick after his sudden death

Sharon Stone is paying tribute to her brother Patrick Stone, who died unexpectedly after going into cardiac arrest over the weekend.

“Hello everybody. This message is to confirm that yes, we did lose my bother Patrick Joseph Stone to a heart attack yesterday,” the “Basic Instinct” star said in an emotional video posted to Instagram Monday.

The “Casino” star then reflected on the “tremendous amount of loss” her family has faced over the past couple of years after losing Patrick and his 11-month-old son, River, back in August 2021.

“Yes he is the man who was the father to River who we lost last year … at 11 months old. He is survived by his wife, Tasha, and his son, Hunter, and his daughter, Kaylee. Like any family, we thank you for your love and support in this time of immeasurable grief and we appreciate all of your condolences.”

Visibly upset, Sharon concluded the video by asking her friends and followers to “be kind.”

“We do greatly understand that the loss is ours here on Earth and I thank you very much for the love and support that you’re showing us. We just ask that you to continue to be kind.”

The 64-year-old also posted photos of her late brother to Instagram.

Shortly after, Sharon posted a series of throwback photos with her late brother, captioned, “RIP my brother Patrick Joseph Stone. ????️”

One of the images showed Sharon, 64, with her arm wrapped around Patrick’s shoulders as they stood outside in the sunshine.

In the second snap, Patrick smiled up at the camera as he lounged on the couch.

The post came just hours after a Pennsylvania coroner’s office told TMZ that Patrick had died amid a battle with heart disease.

His wife, Tasha, later spoke out about Patrick’s passing, saying, “My heart feels like it’s been ripped out of my chest. Patrick went to be with our sweet River … I don’t know what else to say, he was my world.”

She continued, “I’m not sure what life is supposed to look like without my husband by my side and quite honestly I don’t want to, but I will of course. I just hope that you always stay by my side watching over Hunter, Kaylee and I.”

Patrick’s death comes less than two years after his 11-month-old son River passed away.

Tasha went on to say she will “forever hold” onto their “wonderful (and some not so wonderful but just as important) memories close to my heart and will visit those memories always.”

“Until we meet again I will forever love you, honey babe. My wish through all of this is that now at least River has his daddy with him and I hope the two of you are having the best time.”

River died after suffering total organ failure.
