Sheridan Smith smiles with ex ‘back in her life’ after 20 years

Sheridan Smith has put the £1.5million home she shared with ex-fiance Jamie Horn up for sale and is hoping to make a cool £250,000 profit on it in just 12 months.

The 40-year-old actress only bought the Essex property last December but has decided to list it on the property market, just days before she had a horror crash in her car.

Sheridan has a luxury barn conversion in the countryside and it became the location for her Isolation Stories short drama ITV series during lockdown.

The property boasts a huge kitchen and a grand hallway with sweeping staircase. The mix of modern and nods to its rustic origins are seen with exposed wooden beams throughout the house.

Sheridan confirmed in July that she had split from Jamie after three years together, with the actress hinting that they had found it hard adjusting to becoming parents, after their son Billy was born in May last year.

She has since got back with actor Alex Lawler, 40, who she had a relationship with 20 years ago.

Despite this, Sheridan said in a joint statement with Jamie: “We both remain completely committed to raising our beautiful boy Billy together.”

Last month, Sheridan revealed on Instagram that she has had a difficult 12 months and thanked those who have helped her through it.

She wrote: “This year has been a whirlwind to say the least.

“There’s been a lot of ups and some downs, but thankfully I’ve got some great people and family around me, supporting me.”

Days after putting the house up for sale, Sheridan was involved in a horror crash and was reportedly “lucky to be alive” after her Range Rover hit a tree during bad weather brought on by Storm Arwen.

Sheridan was with her boyfriend Alex in the car and fortunately escaped with just cuts and bruises following the smash.

A dog walker who saw the car told The Sun : “The scene was horrific. I automatically assumed, ”s**t, someone must be dead in there”. But then I looked in the car and there wasn’t a person to be seen.

He added: “I panicked and started searching through the bushes shouting […] but there was no reply. The car was completely trashed with the engine hanging out and the whole of the front of the bodywork missing.”

A neighbour also told the news outlet: “It could have been so much worse, she had cuts and bruises, but it could have been fatal, she was incredibly lucky.”
