Sheryl Lee Ralph is the definition of a legend. She’s an Emmy winner, a Broadway star and a certified beauty icon, and she showed off yet another show-stopping look when she sang “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” also known as the Black National Anthem, at the 2023 Super Bowl.
Ralph hit the stage (well, the football field) wearing a stunning red off-the-shoulder gown with bold ruffles, a corseted bodice and a long, dramatic train, plus matching crimson opera gloves. The ensemble was gorgeous, perfectly set off by the full, cascading curls worn parted in the center and down her back. The Abbott Elementary star kept her makeup relatively simple to complement the bright red and black outfit, with precise, sculpted brows, rosy blush and glossy nude lips. As she sang the powerful anthem to the crowd of players and fans, her eyes sparkled under a layer of shimmering bronze-gold smoked-out shadow and full, lush lashes. The Super Bowl trophy has nothing on her glamour!
