Olivia Dunne, commonly known as Livvy, is one of two athletes in this year’s annual magazine and is currently the highest-paid female college athlete in the country. For her SI Swimsuit debut, the LSU gymnast decided to trade her purple and gold leotard for swimsuits highlighting a dark and moody aesthetic.
“When people look at my Sports Illustrated photos, I want them to take away that you can have the best of both worlds—and you can be a strong independent woman while doing it all,” Dunne said. “You can be an athlete, you can be in school and you can do modeling.”

Dunne embodied Wednesday Addams, the main character of Netflix’s Wednesday, in Puerto Rico. The SI Swimsuit team brought the character to life through the gymnast by styling a darker color palette, cut-out swimsuits, vintage T-shirts and plaid, providing a British punk aesthetic throughout the stylings.

Dunne provided a modern approach to the classic black swimsuit. This one-piece from La Revêche takes it to another degree as it featured edgy cut-outs and floral details in the center.

Tying in a darker color palette, the NCAA D-1 athlete wore a swimsuit by ELLISS that was in collaboration with SSENSE. The look, worn by Dunne on location, had a straight neckline and graphic pattern printing throughout the swimsuit.

Playing into the grungy schoolgirl vibe, Dunne wore a Burberry bikini. The swimsuit featured the classic British luxury fashion house’s print and adjustable ties to ensure the most comfortable and flattering fit.

Dunne wore an asymmetrical swimsuit set made out of printed lycra and mesh that gave the appearance of cut-outs throughout the pieces. To emphasize the aesthetic, the social media influencer wore a white “London calling” graphic t-shirt by GANNI that acted as a cover-up.

The gymnast remained on theme while on location when she sported this all-black swimsuit. Although the swimsuit appears to be a one-piece, it is actually composed of a top and bottom. The striking bikini featured a brass hook attachment allowing for the pieces to connect and featured gold detailing clasps to tie in the gold accent.

Continuing to bring to life the edgy stylings, Dunne donned a white matte swimsuit from Christopher Esber. The adjustable matte white one-piece included a number of cut-outs while remaining structured due to the brass orbit detailing in the center.
