The Shang-Chi star, who is hosting the Juno Awards in Edmonton Monday night, vented on his Instagram Story about his unhappy experience flying on the carrier through his hometown last week.

“@aircanada staff at Pearson are a combination of the best and worst of humanity,” the GTA-raised actor began his message, tagging the airline.
“The best go above and beyond for people who are trying to brave horrendous airport lines to try and get to their destination. The worst are completely apathetic and use the crowds as punching bags.”

Liu maintained he wasn’t complaining and that he simply wanted to let the company know “the good apples from the bad.”
“The good employees are truly great and the bad ones … well, they’re just some of the most unpleasant and miserable unprofessional human beings on the face of the earth.”

On social media, Liu’s rant drew few sympathizers.
“Another week, another @SimuLiu tweet complaining about something. Bud, if you didn’t luck out with the MCU, you would just be another struggling Canadian actor. Lighten up,” one person tweeted.
“Did you actually say that Air Canada employees are “a combination of the best and the worst of humanity” The worst? Of all humanity? You find good and bad service ANYWHERE,” another added.

But he garnered some support.
“He’s not wrong,” one follower shared. “My family had one of the worst experiences flying thanks to Air Canada at Xmas! We will never use AC again.

Liu’s isn’t the only high-profile personality to air their negative experience with the airline on social media.
Matthew Lewis, who appeared as Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films, declared Air Canada “the worst airline in North America” after he was kicked out of his first-class seat without explanation last summer.

When someone asked on Twitter why he was upset, Lewis provided some details.
“Kicking me out of first class to back of plane is what it is but doing it at the gate. Literally tearing my ticket up. No explanation other than ‘full flight.’ Said if I wanted to sort it I should go to customer service. I asked where that was. ‘Toronto.’ I’m in Orlando,” Lewis tweeted.
Lewis continued: “Honestly never experienced anything like it. I’ve been bumped before. Comes with the territory. But at the gate, less than two minutes to boarding and without explanation or apology? Never. They even said if I wanna complain or get a refund I have to reach out to them!”
Pearson and Air Canada were also ripped by former hockey player Ryan Whitney after he became stuck in Toronto during a trip between Edmonton and Boston last year.

“I’m so in shock at this place,” Whitney said a video outlining his ordeal. “It is the biggest disgrace known to man.”
