Bollywood singer Krishnakumar Kunnath aka KK dies due to heart attack in Kolkata after his concert. KK dies at the age of 53. As reported by India Today, the playback singer collapsed after the concert and was immediately rushed to a private hospital in the city. According to India Today report, the singer was ‘brought dead’ to Kolkata’s CMRI Hospital.
The news of his passing has shocked fans. For the uninitiated, KK had earlier today posted photos from his concert at Kolkata’s Nazrul Mancha.
Calling it music industry’s loss, Shefali Jariwala tweeted, “Another massive loss to the Indian music industry.. Siner KK’s untimely demise… This has been such a difficult year. I have such fond memories of sharing the stage with KK… I’m in shock #kk can’t believe it.. don’t want to believe it.“
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his sadness as he tweeted, “Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti.“
KK was one of the most versatile singers of the Indian music industry. He has recorded songs in several languages including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Bengali among others. He is now survived by his wife and children.”
