Tyrese Maxey isn’t going anywhere.
That became clear on Monday after reports said the Philadelphia Sixer could be included in a potential James Harden or Damian Lillard trade.
According to ESPN’s NBA Insider Brian Windhorst, the 22-year-old is considered to be untouchable.
“The Sixers are telling teams that Tyrese Maxey is untouchable, per @WindhorstESPN.
“Prime Michael Jordan is available? Don’t call. 25-year-old LeBron James is available? Lose our number. Giannis Antetokounmpo says, ‘I want to be a Sixer.’ If Tyrese Maxey is the ask, just keep walking.”

Although the 76ers don’t appear willing to trade Maxey, the team also won’t extend him this summer, according to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne.
Maxey is scheduled to make $4 million next season, the final year of his rookie contract he signed in 2020.
Maxey averaged 20.3 points, 3.5 assists, 2.9 rebounds on 48.1 percent shooting from the field and 43.4 percent shooting from long distance.
