In January, London was found to have the most expensive petrol and diesel at 151.3p per litre and 173.1p per litre, respectively.
Northern Ireland, unsurprisingly, has the lowest average prices at £1.43 for petrol and £1.63 for diesel.
Northern Ireland benefits from the Consumer Council’s fuel price checker, which helps promote competitiveness across the country.
Its latest data, from last week, shows that diesel is 162.5p and petrol is just 143.7p per litre.
