SM Entertainment has shared its plans for Southeast Asian expansion, new NCT groups, and SuperM’s comeback!

It was recently confirmed that SM Entertainment plans to set up headquarters in Singapore as part of their mission to expand into the Southeast Asian market. In line with this expansion, SM Entertainment intends to launch various businesses in Singapore, including cafes, merchandise stores, and exhibitions. This new office in Singapore will also be “managing joint ventures in Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand, as well as communicating with [its South Korea office] for other related ventures and plans.”

In addition to these headquarters, SM’s founder Lee Soo Man has expressed his interest in potentially creating a new NCT Singapore group. As the agency expands into Southeast Asia, it also plans to gradually reach the Middle East. With this includes Lee Soo Man’s plans for even more NCT subunits, such as NCT Saudi and NCT Tokyo.

Looking to next year, Lee Soo Man also revealed that SuperM would be making their comeback announcement in early 2023.

Earlier this week, Amazon Prime Video shared that they would be creating a documentary about SM Entertainment’s founder Lee Soo Man. SM artists Super Junior and NCT 127 will also release documentaries in 2023 about their career journeys and world tours.
