Fiorentina star Sofyan Amrabat has rejected a last-ditch offer from Liverpool by agreeing personal terms with Manchester United, according to reports in Italy.

The Morocco midfielder is set to leave the club this summer, with Fiorentina desperately needing to balance the books.

The Serie A club attempted to sell Amrabat to Barcelona in January and will accept bids in the region of £25m for the 26-year-old this time around.

United are aware of Fiorentina’s need to sale and have therefore focused on other areas of the squad, such as goalkeeper, before moving for Amrabat.

But that strategy is a risky one given the levels of interest in Amrabat and with Jordan Henderson and Fabinho nearing the exit door at Anfield, Liverpool have made a move to sign the Moroccan.

However, according to Corriere della Sera, Amrabat rejected an offer from Liverpool as he’s already agreed personal terms with United.

The midfielder, who worked with Erik ten Hag at Utrecht, is desperate to move to Old Trafford.

United will attempt to tie-up a £60m deal for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund before moving on to a move for Amrabat.

Ten Hag has spent £100m of his £120m budget this summer, and Hojlund cost cost up to £70m.

It means the club must raise around £80m in player sales to complete their business, but they expect to bring in around £40m through the exits of Dean Henderson and Anthony Elanga to Nottingham Forest.
