Jason Richardson starred at Michigan State before becoming the fifth overall pick in the 2001 NBA Draft and enjoying successful 15-year career in the league.
Now his son has the chance to do the same, starting with his college selection.
Jase Richardson, a top 50 prospects in the class of 2024, has offers all over the nation.
According to reports, the coveted point guard trimmed his list of suitors to eight schools: Alabama, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Michigan State, San Diego State, Stanford, USC, and Virginia.
“The 6-foot-3, 180-pound junior out of Las Vegas Bishop Gorman has taken an official visit to Michigan State and unofficial visits to Arkansas, Stanford, and Washington (no longer being considered),” Joe Tipton of On3 wrote.
“Along with his eight finalists, Richardson also received offers from UNLV, Arizona State, Washington, Florida, Cal, Kansas, and others.”
In terms of best players that reside in Nevada, Jase ranks second on the list. The main question now, however, is will he follow his father’s footsteps and join legendary head coach Tom Izzo as a Spartan.
