King Charles III’s Coronation Service will take place on 6 May 2023, at Westminster Abbey. A Coronation Concert will be held the next day( 7 May), at Windsor Castle. It will be a star studded lineup at King Charles III’s coronation ceremony. Hollywood star Tom Cruise, Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, Pussycat Dolls and more celebrities will attend the royal event. Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor too has received an invite for the same.
Sonam Kapoor to perform at King Charles’ coronation…
Actress Sonam Kapoor has also been chosen to deliver a spoken performance. As per a report in Variety, Sonam will ‘appear on stage to deliver a spoken word performance to introduce the Commonwealth virtual choir.’ The Raanjhanaa star said she would be “honoured” to do.
This will be Sonam Kapoor’s first royal appearance, Tom Cruise was a guest at Princess Diana’s funeral in 1997, Pooh was invited to a children’s garden party for Queen Elizabeth II’s 80th anniversary. Whereas Pussycat Dolls lead Nicole Scherzinger took part in a pageant in honour of Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
As per BBC report the concert willl take place in the grounds of Windsor Castle. It will also be broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, as well as BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds.

Sonam Kapoor was recently in news as she was spotted with Apple CEO Tim Cook watching an IPL cricket match. Sonam was last seen on screen in 2019 in The Zoya Factor with Dulquer Salmaan. She is set to make her comeback with Shome Makhija’s Blind. She will be playing a blind cop in the intense thriller. For the unversed, Blind is the remake of the 2011 Korean film of the same name.
