The game plays decently, but it isn’t what I would call the direction I care the franchise to go, personally. Imagine a Sonic game where you the scenery is more realistic looking, levels can be completely ignored to complete the game, and the player never fights Robotnik.
It felt more like a tech demo than anything else.
