Sophia Forrest and Zara Zoe are officially ENGAGED!

The daughter of mining magnate Andrew “Twiggy” Forrest, Sophia Forrest, has announced her engagement to girlfriend Zara Zoe.

In a heart-warming video shared to Instagram on Saturday, the couple were seen popping champagne, sharing a kiss as well as Zoe showing off her ring to the camera.

“She makes heaven a place on earth,” Sophia wrote on the platform, before thanking her sister Grace for capturing the moment.

The Instagram post was flooded with messages of congratulations including from Grey’s Anatomy star Kate Walsh and Perth-raised actor Katherine Langford.

Sophia publically announced her relationship with her Ride Like a Girl co-star during Sydney’s LGBTQI+ celebrations in March of 2020.

“Partner in quarantine” accompanied by a pride flag emoji, indicating they are waiting out the coronavirus outbreak together.

The two actors are believed to have connected while shooting the Michelle Payne biopic Ride Like a Girl in 2018.

They played the Melbourne Cup-winning jockey’s sisters Maree and Cathy, while Teresa Palmer starred as Payne.

Zoe first appeared on Forrest’s profile in March 2019 while holidaying in France, where they hit the slopes at French Alps ski resort Courchevel.

Sophia is a rising star in the acting world after roles in Ride Like A Girl and ABC show, Barons. She also appeared in LoveChild and the 2018 film, Aquaman.

The 27-year-old actor has also appeared in box-office hit Aquaman and 2014’s The Water Diviner alongside Russell Crowe, and have been captured together several times over the years.

Sophia has spoken openly about LGBTQI+issues including representation onscreen.

Speaking about her ABC show Barons to Stellar earlier this month, she said she was happy viewers could connect with stories rarely told in mainstream TV shows when she was growing up.

“If you’re constantly watching heteronormative storylines, you can’t connect with, maybe a queer storyline that could help you understand who you are,” she said.
