And more shocking news, a 37-year-old male in the up-market town of Kenton-On-Sea was allegedly ravaged to death by two Rottweilers last weekend – and the dogs belong to Ndlambe Municipality Mayor, Khululwa Ncamiso.
And also, on Wednesday, the Civil rights movement, Not In My Name, is planning to oppose bail for a 31-year-old suspect from Mamelodi who slit an 8-year-old girl’s throat last week.
What can we even say about our embattled power utility at this point? Eskom is broken.
The country is overwhelmingly dependent on this dysfunctional entity, and unfortunately, asking them to keep the lights on is a step too far. But are we now reaching a point where the load shedding crisis could be declared the State of Disaster?

Eastern Cape Mayor ‘faces criminal charges’, after her rottweilers KILL a man
A 37-year-old male in the up-market town of Kenton-On-Sea was allegedly ravaged to death by two Rottweilers last weekend – and the dogs belong to Ndlambe Municipality Mayor, Khululwa Ncamiso.
Just a few days ago, it’s understood that the Mayor and her household had left the dogs overnight, while they embarked on a trip out of town. However, local reports claim that the canines broke free, and started roaming the streets.

SASSA payment dates: Here’s when you can collect your grants in May
Those receiving SASSA grants and the special R350 covid-19 relief grants from SASSA will be pleased to know that the payment dates for May will arrive next week.

Stage 2 load shedding is in place until Monday 9 May. Businesses are once again being crippled by a chronic lack of power, as Eskom races to repair a myriad of technical faults and aging generational units. With rolling blackouts likely to be with us until AT LEAST the end of 2023, South Africa is being asked to operate under impossible conditions.

Not In My Name to oppose bail for Mamelodi man who slit girl’s throat
Civil rights movement, Not In My Name is planning to oppose bail for a 31-year-old suspect from Mamelodi who slit an 8-year-old girl’s throat last week.
The accused appeared at the Mamelodi Magistrate’s Court on Friday and is expected to apply for bail on Thursday, 5 May 2022.
The 8-year-old girl also from Mamelodi in Pretoria was allegedly attacked by her mother’s boyfriend. She is currently fighting for her life at a Pretoria East hospital following this incident.
