It is no longer mandatory to wear a face mask outside in Spain but everyone over the age of 6 must wear them in certain circumstances.
According to the UK Government, masks must be worn in enclosed spaces such as shops, restaurants, hotels, hospitals or tourist attractions.
Masks must also be worn outdoors if it is not possible to maintain a 1.5 metre social distance at all times.
Specific face mask rules might also vary in different Spanish regions so it is important British tourists check before traveling.
