KUWAIT CITY, May 8: Deputy Director General of the General Sports Authority Dr. Saqer Al-Mullah hailed the achievements of the Kuwaiti skaters in the International Figure Championship in Dubai. In a press statement Sunday, Al-Mullah said that the Kuwaiti skaters’ achievement by winning 12 different medals stresses the development of the female sport in the country.
Furthermore, he also affirmed that the Sports Authority is keen on developing the female sport in Kuwait and works hard to encourage women to practice different sports. Earlier, the Kuwaiti delegation for female figure skating, comprised of 12 players, headed to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to participate in the international figure skating competition (Skate Emirates). Kuwait won nine gold and three silver medals in the International Figure Skating Championship. (KUNA)
