The first game of Brittney Griner’s return to the WNBA will be televised at an unfortunate hour.
ESPN announced this week that Griner’s first game back will air at 11 p.m. E.T.
Fans aren’t happy with the late tipoff time.
“The Mercury and Sparks will kick off 25 WNBA regular-season broadcasts on ABC, ESPN and ESPN2 this season,” ESPN announced.
That is pretty late.
“Does that say 11PM Est ? Wowwww,” one fan wrote.
“11 PM is a crazy start time for a season opener,” one fan added.
“11pm ET? I’ll catch the replay on League Pass, ’cause I will be nodding off at that time,” one fan added.
“Aye this a terrible time slot,” another fan wrote.
“11pm on a Friday night during the NBA conference finals????” one fan added.
