It’s do-or-die for the Golden State Warriors tonight as they have to beat the Los Angeles Lakers in order to force Game 7 and keep their NBA title defense alive. But will they have star forward Andrew Wiggins for the attempt?
Wiggins has been dealing with a cartilage injury but still managed to contribute 25 crucial points to the Warriors in their Game 5 win. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the All-Star small forward will try and give it a go tonight.
“At this hour, the belief is that Andrew Wiggins will try and play in Game 6 tonight, sources tell ESPN. As @kendra__andrews reports, he’ll go through his pregame routine and see how his costal cartilage fracture/ribs feel prior to tip. Regardless, shooting will be a challenge,” Woj wrote.
Many fans are praising Wiggins for his toughness in the face of such a nasty injury. Others think the Lakers’ strategy is clear: Try and go after Wiggins’ ribs when he’s playing defense.

Andrew Wiggins was limited to just 37 games in the regular season but still averaged 17.1 points per game. He’s put up similar numbers in the playoffs, averaging 17.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game over 12 playoff games.
The Warriors would love to have him for this must-win game.
