Warriors forward JaMychal learned on Friday that if you come at the king, you best not miss.
After the Warriors defeated the Lakers in Game 5 of their second-round series, Green called out LeBron James in an ongoing feud about flopping. He shared James’ quote on Instagram and placed a cap emoji over his head.
Basically, Green said James was lying when he said the Lakers aren’t looking for “flopping opportunities.”
So, how would James respond? He decided to drop 30 points on the Warriors in a series-clinching win.
Less than 24 hours after the Lakers’ win, James went on Instagram to throw shade back at Green. His latest Instagram post included the following lyrics from Drake: “Bench players talking like starters, I hate it.”
This was a not-so-subtle way of calling out Green, who occasionally comes off the bench for the Warriors.
This post from James received over 900,000 likes in roughly two hours.
“Carry the hell on…,” Kendrick Perkins commented.
“King,” one person replied.
Another person wrote, “Nah that’s a crazy diss.”
Green should probably just accept that he lost this battle.
As for James, he’ll turn the page and get ready for the Nuggets. Game 1 of the Western Conference finals will take place on Tuesday night.
