Adam Silver, from NBA commissioner to Disney CEO?
It’s a possibility, according to FOX Business’ Charles Gasparino. Silver, 60, is reportedly on the “short list” to replace current Disney head man Bob iger.
As you might imagine, Gasparino’s report elicited some strong reaction from basketball fans.
“Mickey Mouse and the crew sitting out prime tourist days gonna have them in shambles,” joked a fan in reference to load management.
“Disney receiving two first-round picks for this?” another fan asked facetiously.
“It doesn’t matter if this is total fiction. This was a very deliberate ‘leak,'” theorized USC professor Jacqueline Liu.
“Please get this man away from the NBA,” said CAA Football graphic designer Zachary Branham.
“Have met Adam Silver, Love Adam Silver. Disney would be lucky to have him. Brilliant mind,” another commenter chimed in.
Silver joined the NBA in 1992. After an eight-year stint as the league’s deputy commissioner and chief operating officer, he replaced David Stern as commissioner in February 2014.
Silver’s contract expires in 2024.
