We have may have seen the last of Chris Paul in a Suns uniform.

Immediately after the Suns’ season ended on Thursday night to the Nuggets, ESPN’s Tim MacMahon provided an update on Paul’s future in Phoenix.

MacMahon is reporting that Phoenix will “aggressively” shop Paul’s contract this offseason. He said it’s “pretty likely” the future Hall of Famer will suit up for a different team next season.

Only $15.8 million of Paul’s salary for the 2023-24 season is guaranteed. If the Suns don’t move on from him before June 28, he’ll be owed another $30.8 million.

It’s too early to determine which teams will be interested in trading for Paul. He’s 38 years old and coming off another postseason where he got hurt.

“Good can’t count on this dude for anything,” one fan tweeted.

“Get him to a contender please… I need him to win a ring,” another fan commented.

“Should have grown the team organically so they can learn how to win through failure and the overcoming of adversity. Just can’t skip steps if you’re a mid-market team,” a third fan said.

Paul averaged 13.9 points and 8.9 assists per game for the Suns this season.

If the Suns move on from Paul this offseason, they could potentially pursue Kyrie Irving. He’s set to be a free agent this summer.
