French teenager Victor Wembanyama is the projected No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming No. 1 NBA Draft.
Wembanyama possesses a big man’s height and perimeter skills, which is why he’s one of the most hyped prospects in recent history. According to the latest scuttlebutt, the 19-year-old has actually grown a little and is now 7-foot-5 in sneakers.
“Four inches taller than Shaq,” noted Bleacher Report on Twitter.
“Will his expectations be higher than LeBron’s 19 years ago when he was coming into the league?” wondered content creator Brandon Lawless. “I say yes just because the power of social media now, but it’s also hard because the hype LeBron had with no social media back then was also insane.”
“Keep on losing, Bulls!!! Wemby City tbh,” said a Chicago fan.
“Bro a genetic prototype for the future,” added another person.
“This is just silly,” said a fourth person.
“Y’all gonna be in shambles if he comes to the league and doesn’t live up to the hype,” chimed in a fifth.
The buzz for Wembanyama is only going to get stronger leading up to the draft this summer.
At 13-45, the Houston Rockets currently have the worst record in the NBA and the best odds of landing the coveted European product. Right behind them are the San Antonio Spurs (14-45) and Detroit Pistons (15-44).
