On Tuesday afternoon ESPN announced its coverage team for the 2023 NBA Draft.
Leading the coverage will be rising star reporter Malika Andrews. After starting as a sideline reporter Andrews has become a key figure in ESPN’s basketball coverage.
From ESPN:
Malika Andrews, reporter and host of NBA Today, will lead ESPN’s NBA Draft coverage as host for the second time. Andrews will be joined by ESPN college basketball analyst Jay Bilas, NBA analyst JJ Redick, reporters Andraya Carter and Monica McNutt. Senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski and Front Office Insider Bobby Marks will contribute to coverage throughout the telecast. Wojnarowski will appear across ESPN platforms throughout the evening.
Not everyone is on board with the decision.
“Eww Malika, we respect Kevin tho. Replace Malika with Monica McNutt and we straight,” one fan said.
“Can Elle Duncan get some shine, please. Elle is charismatic and knows her stuff. Why is Malika on everything?” offered a second.
“Theyre both excellent,” said a third.
What do you think about the decision?
