Have we seen the last of the Splash Brothers in the Bay Area? As of now, All-Star shooting guard Klay Thompson is set to enter the final year of his $189.9 million contract with the Warriors.
On Friday night, Shams Charania and Anthony Slater of The Athletic provided a telling update on Thompson’s future in Golden State.
According to The Athletic, the Warriors would need Thompson to accept a pay cut if he wants to sign an extension this summer.

Thompson struggled in the Warriors’ second-round series against the Lakers. He scored 10 points or fewer in each of the last three games.
The Warriors are set to pay Thompson $43.2 million next season.
