The Boston Celtics fell to the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals on Sunday.
Boston failed to get a shot off at the end of the game, as Celtics guard Marcus Smart had the ball in his hands as the game clock hit 0.0.
Following the game, Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla was ripped for not calling a timeout.
He chose to let his team play, rather than drawing up a play.
“I thought Celtic’s Head Coach Mazzulla made a mistake not calling a timeout and setting up a play in the final seconds of the game,” Magic Johnson wrote.

Other fans agreed.
“I was stunned he let them play,” one fan added.
“Complete meltdown by Philadelphia, but Joe Mazzulla comes through in the clutch and James Harden carries the MVP. 10 out of 10, no notes,” one fan added.
“Hey Joe Mazzulla, the reason you call timeout is to advance the ball and save one second,” one fan wrote.
James Harden puttin on a show. Wow! He’s the reason the 76ers have won two games in this series.
Joe Mazzulla not calling a timeout there when his team was clearly out of sorts was a… decision
