Shaheen Afridi is set to make a return to Test cricket after a gap of one year. Mohammad Rizwan has been named the vice-captain of the squad which will be led by Babar Azam. Former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed also features in the squad.
Sri Lanka played their last Test series against Ireland and won it with a 2-0 margin. Pakistan, on the other hand, played their last Test match in the first week of January. Pakistan have failed to win any of their last five Test matches. Interestingly, they played each of those Tests at home.
