Stacey Solomon gets emotional after showing kids first time she met Joe Swash

Stacey Solomon uploaded a clip of her showing her kids the moment she won I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here in 2010 and was greeted with a hug by her now-fiance Joe Swash

Stacey Solomon has shared the sweet moment when she showed her kids the first time she met her future husband Joe Swash.

The former X Factor star, 32, won I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here in 2010 and was given a huge hug by Extra Camp presenter Joe.

The former EastEnders man was working as the roving reporter on the show after being crowned King of the Jungle in 2008.

Stacey, who was in a relationship when she took part in the show, uploaded the video to her Instagram Stories and shared a touching message with her 4.9 million followers.

She described how the family had just finished watching the latest episode of the contest, which is taking place in a castle in North Wales for the second year running due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The mum-of-four wrote: “We just finished watching the castle and Leighton and Zach made me put on my jungle videos because Zachy doesn’t remember it and Leighton wasn’t born when I did it so they love watching it.

“Then we stumbled across this one. The first time I ever met Joe. The boys couldn’t believe it was him. It feels like yesterday.”

She continued to talk about Joe’s fellow host at the time Caroline Flack, who died by suicide at the age of 40 in 2020.

Stacey added: “And then seeing beautiful Caroline. Didn’t realise how emotional this would make me.”

She then posted a pic from the jungle of her hugging her son now 13-year-old son Zach, who was two at the time.

She wrote: “No one knows that the future holds… Hold them tight. Always. Never forget,” before quoting philosopher Matshona Dhliwayo: “Though you are as a drop in the ocean, without you, the universe would be empty.”

Stacey and Joe were first rumoured to be dating in January 2016 after the pair were spotted arm in arm.

Later that month they made their relationship Instagram official and they now share two children together, Rex, two, and the family’s newest arrival baby Rose, who was born in October.

They are due to tie the knot after Joe proposed on Christmas Eve last year.

Stacey, who regularly shares updates on Instagram and Joe have also bought their dream home which the Loose Women panellist has named Pickle Cottage.

They couple have pulled out all the stops to make it a dream spot this year for Christmas, with Stacey sharing her stunning home’s transformation with a gorgeous festive arch adorned with lights and baubles around the front door.

There are even fake reindeer around the property.
