Considering Rey stole the ancient Jedi texts from Luke back in The Last Jedi, it has been assumed she’ll be working hard to bring the Jedi back into power in the coming movies.
Kennedy confirmed as much, adding: “She’s attempting to rebuild the Jedi Order, based on the books, based on what she promised Luke, so that’s where we’re going … certainly, the spirit of what he [Luke Skywalker] represents to her [Rey Skywalker] is going to be significant.”
The Lucasfilm boss’ comments suggest Rey hasn’t got very far in 15 years, however. But the fact that she mentions Jedi being in disarray suggests the warrior has made some new Jedi allies along the way.
