Get your first look at the game’s competitive arenas and roster of playable Hunters.
Zynga and Lucasfilm Games have released the first gameplay trailer for Star Wars: Hunters, giving us our first look at the highly anticipated team-based competitive action game. Coming to Nintendo Switch and mobile in 2022, the game has already been soft-launched on Google Play for Android devices in certain markets. A soft launch for the App store will begin in certain markets early next year.
The game is set after the fall of the Galactic Empire and will consist of battles in arena settings across many iconic Star Wars landscapes. The game will connect players in real-time for cooperative battles. Players will compete as characters ranging from daring bounty hunters to heroes of the Rebellion, and holdouts of the fallen Empire. Battles in the game will be immersive experiences, showcasing visually stunning settings that many players are familiar with throughout the Star Wars franchise.
When Star Wars: Hunters is released in 2022, the game will be free to download to Nintendo Switch as well as the App and Google Play Store. The release will also support cross-play across gaming systems. The game will not require Nintendo Switch Online membership in order to download and play.
The game is produced by Zynga Inc., which was founded in 2007 has created many popular mobile games from FarmVille to Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells. Star Wars: Hunters is created in cooperation with Lucasfilm Games.
No exact release date has yet been announced for Star Wars: Hunters, which is currently set for release sometime in 2022 on Nintendo Switch and mobile. You can now pre-register in order to help reach new milestones in order to unlock exclusive in-game content when Star Wars: Hunters launches. You can do so by visiting the Star Wars: Hunters website, where additional information regarding battlefields, characters, and three Arena battlefields is also featured. Check out the trailer below:
