Saudi Arabia recently offered international soccer superstar Kylian Mbappe a reported figure over $1 billion.
This absurd offer has sparked some interesting debate around the sporting world.
Who is the most valuable athlete in all sports?
ESPN media personality Stephen A. Smith gave his answer to that question during Wednesday’s episode of First Take.
“I think it’s LeBron James,” Smith said. “… LeBron James is a global iconic brand, as well as the NBA is a global iconic brand. It’s not just his greatness as a basketball player, it’s being the conscientious observer that he is.”

After reports of Mbappe’s offer went public, LeBron joked about landing a Saudi deal himself.
“Me headed to Saudi when they call @RichPaul4 & @mavcarter for that 1 year deal!” he wrote along with a gif.
